Extreme Explorers: Underwater Technology and the Deep Ocean |
|
Grades 5 to 7 Canadian designed deepsea technology has been used to explore some of the deepest parts of the world’s oceans. Discover what it takes to be an extreme explorer. The Newt Suit and the submersible Ben Franklin, will be used to highlight some of the technologies and design principles required to explore extreme ocean environments. This program sponsored by the Anako Foundation.
Curriculum Connections

- identify and compare human requirements for exploration of space and the oceans
- investigate the contributions of Canadians to space and ocean exploration
